New York State Police troopers on patrol in the Hudson Valley stopped Greenport resident Marie Shook late on Friday, Dec. 27 after she committed a vehicle and traffic violation in Claverack.
According to police, during the subsequent traffic stop on Route 66, it was determined that Shook was allegedly impaired by alcohol and she was taken into police custody.
Shook was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI with two previous convictions in the past 10 years and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both felonies.
She has since been released and is scheduled to appear back in court at a later date to respond to the charges against her.
